Ekko

Xander’s travelling companion and first mate, little Ekko is small in stature but big in personality, just like most of the Kirrin. Unlike most Kirrin, however, he left the comfort of the forest to explore the outside world. The hapless little creature is unfortunately very accident prone and landed himself in serious trouble in the lands of Mae’Estaa. He was exiled to Ruz’Abar, a terrible island in the middle of the ocean full of criminals and low lifes.

Luckily Xander was hired to rescue him and bring the poor creature to justice. After a daring escape the pair found themselves adrift in the ocean, Xander’s airship seemingly damaged beyond repair. It was then that Ekko’s exceptional Aura Mechanical skills came to light, and Xander agreed that he could travel with him until he no longer felt the need in exchange for the miracle he had performed. Xander has never asked where Ekko learnt his abilities and it is unclear if even Ekko himself knows.

Ekko’s full name is Rettekko Obbuttokko, though he never uses it around humans, preffering his shortened version instead.
